Copper and Its Applications
Copper is a ductile and malleable material. It is a very good conductor of heat and electricity and is resistant to corrosion. It acts as a natural antibacterial and is easily recycled.
Although its colour is reddish brown, it can take on a greenish colour when exposed to air, humidity, and carbon dioxide. This green layer, which is called verdigris, protects copper and its alloys from corrosion.
